Field Notes:
After spending several days in the field in Missouri, I concluded that Missouri isn’t so much the “Show Me” state as it is the “Trespassers Will Be Shot” state.
My journey, Expedition 37, began in Kansas in February of 2024. From February to early April, I was able to spend uninterrupted hours exploring sites in Kansas where UFO/UAP sightings had been reported. There were no uneasy stares or confrontations with landowners, just the quiet solitude of my investigations.
However, my experience in Missouri was very different. During my visits to sites there in April of 2024, I often found myself under the watchful and suspicious gaze of locals within minutes. It seemed they were always on the verge of confronting me.
I had to change my approach. Upon arriving at a site, I would jump out of my car, cameras in hand, snap a few quick photos, and then retreat to the safety of my Civic before making a swift exit. It felt less like conducting a thorough investigation and more like executing a series of hit-and-run missions. The depth of my research was compromised, replaced by the adrenaline rush of fighting a guerrilla war with cameras, not guns.

In April the trees were beginning to leaf out and the vegetation was coming back to life. But on this farm, I saw something common at sites where UFO/UAPs have been reported- dead trees surrounded by otherwise healthy vegetation.

“Closest I've ever seen unbelievable.
“One hovering white lights on it. Moving east to west, up and down, side to side, no noise then came back east. Call my parents to step out on porch to look. They seen it, took pictures video. He took some, tried calling other neighbor's but not home. Then it went back west then another one came up higher in the sky up the valley from the west, then went northwest, then out of sight. The first one kept going on West down the valley low till it was out of sight. Lasted about twenty minutes or so. Quite a eventful night. Called Whiteman Air Force Base. They said call local Pd so call St Clair Co dispatch made a report. They had not had any other calls yet. Pretty wild.”
